Ville-Marie (Montréal)

Install community bulletin boards in the Peter-McGill district, plant mature trees in the Saint-Jacques district and build a pétanque court in Parc Médéric-Martin in the Sainte-Marie district.

Au Courant: Install community bulletin boards

Install high-quality community bulletin boards built using sustainable methods and materials. Éco-quartier Peter-McGill in collaboration with its community partners will ensure the upkeep of the boards. The quality and appearance of the bulletin boards will meet the requirements of their prestigious location in Montréal's downtown core.

The cool green initiative

Plant mature trees in various locations in the Saint-Jacques district, from Sherbrooke and University to de Champlain streets and the river, to enhance the improvements that have already been made (e.g. green alleys, new spaces, etc.). The trees will be planted on public and private lots, in the yards of cooperative and low-income housing units, non-profit organizations and institutions and certain small parks and alleys. Locations will first be selected based on the commitment of residents and local businesses to ensure the wellbeing, growth and maintenance of the trees.

Crazy about pétanque

As part of the revitalization of Parc Médéric-Martin, build a three-lane pétanque court in the park's northern section.
